Nevada contractor license bonds are a contract in which a surety company promises the State of Nevada that a contractor will not commit any violation of Nevada contractor license law that is grounds for disciplinary action against the license. If the contractor does not comply with the conditions of the law, a claim can be filed with the surety company against the contractor’s bond. Claims against a surety company may be filed by any persons damaged by willful and/or deliberate violation of a construction contract, including homeowners or contractor employees.
